Your body isn’t broken.
It’s been trying to protect you.
Twenty years in enterprise IT security. Competitive triathlon outside it. Then a complete nervous system collapse. I tracked the process from the inside with the same precision I’d applied to everything else. This is the nervous system recovery map that came out of it.
These are not separate conditions. They may be one nervous system that has reached its limit.
If you’ve been given one of the labels below and it doesn’t quite fit, there may be another explanation.
These labels are descriptions of symptoms, not explanations of cause. In my own case, what connected all of it was a precise biological mechanism: a nervous system in a state of chronic threat response that could not find its way back to safety.
This is not psychological weakness. It is not a character flaw. It is a measurable, understandable physiological process. Once you understand it precisely, something shifts. The understanding itself becomes part of what allows nervous system recovery to begin.
No label required
This is not built around a label. CFS, Fibromyalgia, burnout, Long Covid: these are descriptions of symptoms, not explanations. This starts from what is actually happening underneath all of them.
Precision over reassurance
Most programs and frameworks tell you it will be okay. This one tells you why, with the biological mechanisms, the phases of collapse, and what the nervous system actually needs at each stage.
Written from the inside
This is not a clinical framework applied from the outside. It was built by someone who went through a complete nervous system collapse and tracked every stage with obsessive analytical precision.
Start with the map.
The Prologue and first two chapters are free. The biology of what is actually happening, the phases of collapse, and an account of what was happening to me that finally held together.
